Huang Zhengquan, female, born in 1948 in Yongchuan District, Chongqing, is the founder of “Jinguoyuan”. In the 1980s, Huang Zhengquan was still a housewife. To pay tuition for her children and support her family, she purchased nearly 150kg of tangor and mandarin oranges, went to the gate of Chongqing Iron and Steel Group where she peddled the fruits out of her wicker basket, and earned her first “pot of gold”.
In the decade or so that followed, Huang Zhengquan continued her efforts in introducing premium non-local fruit into Chongqing and tested the waters of the imported fruit market. As her business scale grew, Huang Zhengquan incorporated Jinguoyuan Commerce and Trade Co., Ltd., one of the earliest imported fruit wholesale chains in Southwest China, and went on to establish a dozen branches in Guangzhou, Chengdu, Kunming, Guiyang, and other places.
In 2007, Huang Zhengquan officially entered the Thai market. By means of contracting orchards and setting up a system that covers planting, harvesting, grading, packaging, and logistics and delivery, she pioneered the overall quality improvement in the industry.
From a domestically-funded offline fruit stand that engages in market wholesale to an incorporated company that sets foot in international procurement, electronic commerce, and foreign investment, Jinguoyuan, led and steered by Huang Zhengquan, who, for more than 40 years, has been devoted to the fruit sector, has now become a strong international trade company. Huang Zhengquan herself was awarded various honorary titles including “Outstanding Entrepreneur in China's Fruit Industry”, "Outstanding Business Woman in China" and "Advanced Person in Fruit Industry for the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up”. In the spring breeze of China’s Reform and Opening-up, Huang Zhengquan insisted on carrying forward the spirit of hard work of fruit workers and wrote a legend of the industry.
Jingguoyuan Industry Co., Ltd. was granted the overseas investment certificate and set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in Cambodia. In November 2022, the first batch of Cambodian longan imported by Jinguoyuan completed customs clearance at Nansha Port, Guangzhou.
In August 2022, Guangzhou Donghe Jiayun International Logistics Co., Ltd. was incorporated to assemble a professional team for customs declaration, which effectively reduced the customs declaration cost of enterprises and improved the efficiency of customs clearance.

Chongqing Jinguoyuan Commerce and Trade Co., Ltd was incorporated and began offering products in 12 established supermarket chains including Metro and Wangfujin. Global sourcing is the core pivot of Jinguoyuan. For the past two decades, Jinguoyuan extended to high-quality fruit-producing areas in more than 10 countries and regions worldwide, forming three major sourcing models: self-production and self-sale, exclusive agency, and origin-based trade. Apart from longan produced in Thailand and Cambodia, Jinguoyan also bulk purchases from the USA, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, and other countries and regions. The main fruit products of Jinguoyuan are fresh longan produced in Thailand and Cambodia. Products of different packaging specifications such as 12kg, 6kg, 3kg, and 9.6kg were developed based on market demands. Among them, the 6kg packaged products were first launched in the Chinese market in early 2017 and were well received by customers. The product is now also quite popular in the European market.
The company has basically completed its channel deployment both internationally and domestically by, firstly, establishing wholesale points in Chongqing, Chengdu, Guiyang, and Kunming to delve into Southwest China; and secondly, gaining a foothold in Jiangnan, Guangzhou, and Jiaxing, Zhejiang to serve nationwide wholesale. Currently, the Company has set up regional sub-centers in Wuhan, Xi’an, and Changsha to further enhance its service efficiency.
